Food Programs

Our main goal is to ensure all community members have access to safe, nutritious food, provided in a way that promotes dignity. Our food program includes free or low-cost meals, community kitchens, and community gardens.

Do you have an idea for a program or event on Mayne, Pender, Galiano, Or Saturna Island to promote food security beyond the harvest months? Do you have a skill that you would like to teach? Do you have an exciting program or event that could use support? We would like to hear fro you.

Friday Community Gatherings

Join us every Friday for a warm and welcoming Community Gathering. Start your day with coffee at our Cafe (10 AM), followed by hot soup, live music, and activities (12–1 PM). Frozen soup and meals are also available to take home.

$8 suggested donation – pay what you can. 

All ages welcome!

Monday's 55+ Lunch Gatherings Food Program

Join us for our Monday’s 55+ Lunch food program at Pender Island Community Hall from 12-2PM. Hot lunch is served $10 as a sliding scale & we encourage “Pay it Forward” if you are able to pay a bit more to help others. Limited meals for sale for later use. Volunteer driver available to deliver as needed.
