The Southern Gulf Islands Neighbourhood House (SGINH) offers a broad range of fun, open and inclusive seniors programs for all ages and backgrounds. We work collaboratively to support all four of the Southern Gulf Islands of Saturna, Galiano, Mayne and Pender to strengthen our collective communities.

Monday Activities
Join us every Monday for our seniors programs, a unique range of activities designed to engage our elders, enrich their lives, and support them so they may continue enjoying independent lifestyles while engaging with their community.
Pender Taxi Saver
If you’re 65+ or have mobility challenges, you’re eligible to buy half-price vouchers for Lightning Taxi rides on Pender Island. Use them for trips to places like the Health Centre, grocery store, pharmacy, events, the ferry terminal, and more.
Register at the Neighbourhood House Office at Driftwood with the registration form and your ID.
Computer Savvy Seniors
The Computer Savvy Seniors program provides complimentary, personalized tech support right in your own home.
Our skilled technicians will visit you for up to two hours, helping with everything from hardware and software to social media and Zoom.
Whatever your tech needs, just call us at 250-629-3665 or email admin@sginh.ca, and we’ll arrange for assistance. This is a free service to our island’s elders. Embrace technology with ease and confidence!

A free drop-in clinic will be held on February 10th from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Community Hall (4418 Bedwell Harbour Rd).

Benefits and tax credits (e.g., Disability Tax Credit, GST/HST Credit)
Tax forms and slips
Old Age Security and CPP
